Confidence Building Course - starting 23 April 2019

A 5 week course at Bramley Resource Centre from 1pm to 3pm.

This course will help develop your confidence and self-esteem. For parents with children aged 0-5 years. Limited crèche places are available.

 

Pyjama Drama- starting 23 April 2019

Pyjama Drama is a drama and imaginative play programme for children aged between 2 and 4.

Each session is packed with fabulous and fun activities including singing, dancing, playing games, and best of all – pretending.

These FREE sessions will run on the following dates:

  • Tuesdays – 23 April, 30 April and 7 May at 10am until 10.40am at Bramley Resource Centre
  • Fridays – 26 April, 3 May and 10 May at 2pm until 2.40pm at Bramley Community Centre (please note that these sessions will have the same content as the previous Tuesday’s session).

You can come to as few or as many sessions as you like, but as places are limited booking is essential.

 

Eat Well With Change4Life - starting 7 June 2019

A 4 week course at Hollybush Annexe from 1.30pm to 2.30pm.

Take part in taste tests, a 'Swap When You Shop' challenge, new recipes and have the opportunity to ask questions about cooking and healthier snacking. For parents with a child aged 5-11.

The sessions have limited places so contact Bramley Cluster to register your interest.

 

HENRY - starting 14 June 2019

An 8 week course at Hollybush Annexe from 9.30am until 12noon

For parents of children aged 0-5 years.

'Health, exercise and nutrition for the really young.' HENRY recognises that emotional well-being and confident responsive parenting are equally as important as nutrition and activity for a child's healthy lifestyle.

Limited crèche places are available if needed.

 

 

Restorative Parenting - starting 2 July 2019

A 3 week workshop from 10am – 1pm at Bramley Resource Centre for parents of children aged 6+

This course will look at your personal conflict styles, and support you to learn restorative approaches and how to use these within your family to resolve issues more effectively.

  

 

 

Baby Massage

Learn how to massage your little one, and learn the benefits of massage on baby-parent communication, relaxation and to encourage sleep. £1.50 per family.

Courses run throughout the year on Tuesday afternoons at Hollybush Annexe.

 

  

Baby Steps

 Baby Steps is a course for parents to be which starts after the 26th week of pregnancy.  The course is designed to help mums-to-be and their partners get ready for being a parent and looks at a baby's development right from the start; what could change when becoming a new parent, and talks about giving birth and how parents can get to know their baby.

The aim of the course is to reach parents who need additional support. To find out if you are eligible please speak to your midwife or ring Baby Steps Office on 0113 3788533.

 

 

Preparation for Birth and Beyond

A course for first time Mums to be after the 28th week of pregnancy. 

It aims to give information to parents about the pregnancy, birth and after their baby is born.

The course offers practical ideas such as, feeding, bathing and changing. It also looks at the learning development of children and how to read and react to babies' communication. The course helps parents/carers to get to know their baby.
